Reflections on Vancouver

Vancouver's abundance of glass make reflections a fun subject in the city. Here are just a few of those shots.

Here, this sleek tower at the corner of Granville and W. Georgia reflects both the past (the ornate stone clock tower) and some unfinished construction farther down the West Georgia street.)

Nearby is the Vancouver Public Library. If you read about it in last year's description, you know that it's no accident the thing reminds you of the Colluseum in Rome. Nearby Library

This picture is taken from entrance of the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. The observant viewer will notice that the sky isn't uniformly blue, by the way.

Here's a residential complex that's along the west end of Howe street facing the shores of False Creek, the body of water that separates downtown Vancouver from Granville Island, and the part of the city to the south. One of the enjoyable aspects of Vancouver's skyline is that it doesn't seem to fill every last vertical inch, like other cities I know. The more spacious areas afford a more open feeling, something I find rather pleasing. Facing Granville Island

Well, this is actually a jumping off point for Granville Island, coming up next.
